Background

Previous ISN Historians:
Jordi Folch-Pi 1977 - 1979
Abel Lajtha 1980 - 1983
Henry McIlwain 1983 - 1991
Gerald Curzon 1992 - 1999
Herman Bachelard 1999 -2006

Up to the time of Henry McIlwain's appointment, the historians had collected Archival materials and it was Henry who began the complex task of collating and cataloguing the materials in files in heat- and acid-proof boxes. These are now stored at the Institute of Basal Medicine Oslo, Norway and items of interest can be accessed on request from the current Archivist (Frode Fonnum, Phone: + 47 22 85 11 19; Fax: + 47 22 85 10 58; email: frode.fonnum@bio.uio.no). Replies to requests would be expected to be by Fax since most of the materials are in non-electronic form.

*Any additional materials welcome!
