R. Wayne Albers 
August 5, 1928 – September 28, 2013

ISN members will be saddened to learn of the death of Dr. R. Wayne Albers, Ph.D., Scientist Emeritus, Chief of Section on Enzyme Chemistry (retired), Laboratory of Neurochemistry in the NINDS, NIH, Bethesda, MD, who died September 28, 2013.

Wayne Albers has been regarded as a pioneering intellect in the field of nervous system biochemistry and whom, through his own research, editing and writing, has helped bring the biochemical perspective to the burgeoning modern field of neuroscience.  Read more ...

New - ISN "Career Interruption Re-entry Grant" - Category 1D

The ISN CAEN Career Interruption Re-entry Grant supports the return to an active research career of high quality researchers, working in the field of neurochemistry, who have experienced significant career interruptions as a result of childbirth, career responsibilities or a major illness.

Awards will be up to 10,000.00 (USD), for one year.
