"Oxidative Stress and Neurodegeneration"

The ISN satellite meeting on "Oxidative Stress and Neurodegeneration" co-sponsored by the ISN and Chinese Society of Neuroscience and organized by Drs. Grace Sun, Albert Sun and Piu Chan was taken place on 7th - 11th February 2004 in Guilin, China. More than 120 people including about 90 scientists from China attended. The symposium focused on the role of oxidative stress in neurodegenerative disorders such as stroke, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. It dealt with the most recent development in the receptors and signaling pathways involved in oxidative mechanisms but also with the general techniques and methods for neurochemistry. All participants enjoyed not just the meeting but also the beautiful scenic city Guilin.
