Abstracts

Q: If I submit an abstract do I have to attend the conference?
A: All accepted abstracts are scheduled in the Scientific Program either as Oral or Poster presentations. It is expected that at least one author of the abstract will attend the meeting to present the work and answer questions. Only abstracts of registered participants will be scheduled in the Scientific Program.

Q: I have submitted an abstract, when will I know if it has been accepted?
A: Only after all abstracts have been reviewed by the Scientific Committee notifications will be sent to the abstract submitters. Every effort is made to conclude this process within one month after the abstract submission deadline. Please refer to the Key Dates.

Q: How can I make changes to an abstract I have already submitted?
A: No abstract changes will be accepted.

Q: If my abstract is accepted, where will it be published?
A: Copies of your accepted and registered abstracts will be published on the conference website, online journal supplement and conference mobile App.

 

Registration

Q: How do I register for the conference?
A: In order to register for the conference, please register online by clicking on the button available on the registration page. 

Q: How can I pay the registration fees?
A: Payment of registration fees can be made by credit card.

Q: Can I register for the conference without paying?
A: Yes, but your registration will be confirmed only when full payment is received.

Q: Can I register before the early fee deadline and pay later?
A: In order to benefit from the early fee registration discount, payment must be received before the deadline.

Q: Can I register onsite?
A: Yes. Onsite registration is available during the conference days. Onsite fees will apply.

Q: What does my registration fees include?
A: For full detailed entitlements, please check the registration page.

Q: Will I receive a confirmation letter after I have finished registering?
A: Yes. A detailed confirmation letter and receipt will be sent to you by email as soon as payment is received and registration is completed. You may use this confirmation letter for visa application purposes.

Q: How do I get from the airport to the Meeting venue?
A: Getting to the Hawaií Convention Center from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL): The convention center is located approximately 40 minutes from the International Airport.  

 Financial Support

Q: How can I get financial support?
A:  We encourage you to seek funding, where possible. There are possibilities to apply for Travel Awards

COVID-19 Related as of April 1, 2022. 

Q: What are the COVID requirements for attending the meeting?
A:
All participants will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Furthermore, participants having symptoms of the COVID-19 is strongly advised to get a test before attending the meeting

Q: What are the requirements to enter Hawaii?
A: Vaccinations or a Negative PCR test is required prior to departure to bypass quarantine. However, for more information and official entry requirements, please visit the link https://www.gohawaii.com/travel-requirements

Q: Are masks mandatory during the meeting?
A: Although mask mandates have been removed in the state of Hawaii. We strongly advise all participants to always keep their masks on, especially during close contact with other participants.

Q: Does ISN provide insurance to all participants?
A:
No. ISN is not responsible for setting up insurance for participants of the meeting. We strongly advise all participants to prepare a travel insurance which should include coverage against COVID-19

Q: What should I do if I had close contact with a person or tested myself positive for COVID-19?

Child Care Fellowship

Q: Is there any financial support for attendees who are bringing young children in the 2019 ISN-APSN Meeting?
A: Fellowships up to $400 USD per family are available for the ISN-APSN Meeting attendees who are bringing young children, up to the age of 6 years, to the meeting or who incur extra expenses for childcare during the meeting. Invitation Letters & Visa Applications

Q: Do I need a VISA to enter the country?
A: It is entirely possible that you may need a valid visa to enter a country to enter USA. We recommend that at the time of booking you check the visa requirements with the embassy of the host country in your home location. Q: How do I apply for a visa?
A: Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. We suggest you contact your local Consulate for full and official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedure that apply to you.

Q: Where can I get a Conference invitation letter so that I can apply for a visa?
A: Upon request, the Secretariat of the International Society for Neurochemistry will e-mail a personal invitation to participants. This invitation is meant only to help visitors to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support. Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent on request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organizing Committee or Meeting to provide any financial assistance. If you require an original letter, it is recommended that you send your request well in advance to account for administration time for processing the request and delivery. Q: Is it possible to send an official invitation letter directly to my local Consulate?
A: Unfortunately we are unable to send invitation letters directly to consulates. Invitation letters are prepared solely for individuals and are mailed directly to them.

 

ISN Membership

Q: Do I have to be a member to register for the conference?
A: No, you can register as a non-member, we do encourage you to become an ISN member and save up to USD 300

Meeting Registration Cancellation Policy:

To request a refund of your registration fees, please contact ISN Secretariat

Please note:
– 35 USD administration fee will be applied to all cancellations
– Refunds are not possible after June 30, 2022.
– Accompanying Guest registrations cannot be refunded nor transferred.
