Submit a scientific session proposal for Neurochemistry 2027, in Kyoto, Japan by July 12, 2026!

Active ISN Members are invited to submit proposals for scientific sessions at Neurochemistry 2027. Proposals should present timely, high-quality topics in neurochemistry and related fields, bringing together speakers with strong scientific expertise and complementary perspectives.

All proposals will be reviewed by the Biennial Neurochemistry Conference Committee (BNCC) based on scientific quality, relevance to the conference themes, speaker expertise, and the overall balance of the proposed session.

What is a Symposium?

A symposium consists of a maximum of four speakers presenting highlights of their research and providing a clear overview of the topic for conference participants, including those who may not work directly in that field.

Each symposium should focus on a clearly defined scientific theme. Preference will be given to proposals that bring together complementary perspectives, contrasting viewpoints, or alternative methodological approaches.

The session organiser may also serve as a speaker, but this is not required.

Who can submit a proposal?

The submitting applicant must be an active ISN Member for 2026.

If you are not yet an ISN Member, or have not renewed your membership for 2026, please allow enough time for your membership request to be processed and approved. Your 2026 membership must be approved before you can access the online proposal submission form.

For membership-related questions, please contact the ISN Office.

Important requirements before submitting

ISN membership

Applicants must be active ISN Members for 2026 before they can access and submit the online proposal form.

We recommend joining ISN or renewing your membership well in advance of the proposal submission deadline to avoid delays.

Speaker confirmation

All proposed speakers listed in a symposium proposal must electronically confirm their participation before the proposal is considered complete.

The online proposal form includes a built-in feature that allows applicants to request electronic confirmation from proposed speakers. Please contact your speakers early and allow enough time for them to confirm.

Proposals will not be reviewed unless all proposed speakers have confirmed their participation through the online system.

Please note that speakers may participate in only one symposium during Neurochemistry 2027.

ISN funding support

Speakers selected for the Neurochemistry 2027 scientific programme will receive complimentary registration and financial support intended to help cover travel-related expenses.

Financial support is available to speakers only. Session chairs who are not speaking are not eligible for support.
