Conferences and Schools

Introduction

ISN Conferences and ISN Schools are important instruments to foster the main aim of ISN, to support the advancement of research and education in neurochemistry on a global scale throughout the world. ISN organises an international neurochemistry conference every two years. Those conferences are co-hosted by one of its international Sister Societies which are based in the Americas (American Society for Neurochemistry, ASN), in the Asian-Pacific region (Asian-Pacific Society for Neurochemistry, APSN) or in Europe (European Society for Neurochemistry, ESN). In conjunction with the Biennial, Meetings ISN runs an ISN Advanced School of Neurochemistry with an established teaching programs on various aspects of Neurochemistry for PhD students and young post-docs from around the world. In addition, ISN runs in the years between the biennial meetings the ISN Flagship Schools which are unique, high quality educational events that bring together PhD students and young post-docs from around the world with high-ranked international speakers for one week to take part in scientific lectures, discussions, and poster presentations on an important neurochemical research topic.
